Bug #279
Io9 used my photos without properly attributing them

Bug Type: Photo/Illustration Error
In an article this morning about the upcoming movie Transformers 3, IO9 repurposed photos and video that I shot without giving me proper credit.
The photos, originally posted on my Flickr account and personal blog, are clearly marked with a Creative Commons license that requires attribution. Not only did IO9 not credit me, but they've copied the photos onto their server, removing all trace of their origin... my iPhone.

As of 10:45 AM, IO9 has corrected this problem! Thanks, IO9!
Thought I should post the full explanation we received from io9 editor Annalee Newitz before closing this for good:
"We have now credited Ben Brown, the photographer. The original credit was to the fan blog where we found the photographs, which also did not credit the photographer. We make an effort to credit artists and photographers, but in cases like these, where we find the images uncredited, we default to crediting the site where we found them.
"We received Ben's mail about the same time we received your mail, and we appreciate that he came forward to claim his photos. Thanks!"
