Bug Type: Simple Factual Error
Lance Williams refers to the the "now-defunct" Berkeley Daily Planet, which is still online and can be found by typing in the same URL which produced the chicken manure story he references in his post. The writer was not an "op-ed" writer but our paid and appreciated occasional freelance garden columnist.

We contacted CaliforniaWatch about this error report. They have removed the reference to "now-defunct" from the post and posted an "update" at the top of the story.
They did not address the issue raised about "op-ed," nor did they address another issue raised in comments about whether it is in fact legal to own roosters in Berkeley.
